two for the price of one
a lot of my work (both the paintings & the snaps) is about sequences; creating dialogues with images, exploring the energy of the space between images in a series*, random pairings, etc.
with a 1 image/page format, sequencing becomes a primary concern for me, though sometimes, 2 or more images need to be together on a page and this seems to be one of those times.

all that really needs to be said here is that the mountains poking through the sky were spectacular, even though the intense cloud cover on the trip did not allow me to partake in one of my favorite activiites: painting the crop patterns as i fly across country. in hindsight, this was a blessing in disguise, as it would have lead me to this discovery at a less opportune time.

* a full list of these sequences: conceptually speaking, can be found in the bottom right margin of the image archive/links page)
