as is the case in many countries, impromptu shrines are set up where someone has been killed
one is used to seeing them on curvy mountain roads or the streets of inner cities
but this is the first that i have ever seen one on the beach
(& yes,
i know this doesn't exactly look like a beach,
that's because there is a fresh water lagoon that meets it,
but turn around 180° and the pacific ocean is about 15' in front of you)
